How to Use FlexBeam
FlexBeam is a powerful, wearable device that delivers targeted near-infrared and red light therapy deep into your body. Here are some basic facts and general guidelines on how to use FlexBeam:
- FlexBeam is designed to be worn directly on the skin; clothing will absorb light, making the treatment ineffective.
- Each session yields a consistent dose and is not dependent on distance from the light source, because the device is always in contact with your skin.
- Flexbeam’s unique design allows it to be tied around any joint, enabling light delivery that is impossible with flat light panels.
- FlexBeam’s design reduces treatment time, making it possible to deliver a targeted therapeutic dose in 10 minutes for a single placement.
- Typical application involves 1 or 2 placements of FlexBeam around an injury or painful area.
- In case of a recent injury, you can use these applications twice a day, and in case of ongoing pain, they can be used once a day, but with additional strategic placements around affected muscles or the spine.
- Cooling fans are designed to cool down your FlexBeam because its LEDs are very potent, ensuring a higher power density for deeper penetration.

Before you start
Before you apply FlexBeam for the first time, make sure it’s fully charged. Insert the power cord provided into the power port located on the interface module of your FlexBeam. It will take approximately 2 hours to charge.
Once your FlexBeam is charged, consider what you want to achieve with your session and review our warnings page.
Improve your muscle strength or endurance? Relieve the tension and that tightness feeling from your muscles? Boost your energy or relax? Something entirely different?

Place FlexBeam on the desired location, securing it with the
supplied bands if needed. Always use your FlexBeam directly
on the skin, removing any clothing. Light does not penetrate
clothing, and treatment will be ineffective.
You can attach FlexBeam to the body using the supplied bands. The
instructions on how to use FlexBeam with these bands can be found online and in your quick start guide.

Remove the device from the skin, and if required, move it to the next part of the body to continue the session.
If you use the same Program, press PLAY to run another cycle.
If you want to change the Program, while you are still on PAUSE, choose the desired Program by selecting 1, 2, or 3 and press PLAY.

When and How to Use FlexBeam®
FlexBeam is designed to deliver an optimal dose of light for each program cycle to trigger your body’s self-healing response. Light has a cumulative effect on the body, so it is important to make sure you are not overusing it.
These are some general guidelines for achieving the best results:
- In most cases, one use a day is enough.
- For a recent injury, use 2 times a day.
- The maximum is 3 uses a day, but in that case, you should use only 10-minute applications at the area of injury.
- In the case of ongoing pain, it can be used once a day if you are doing 3-4 applications per use.
- When used daily, make sure to take occasional breaks.
